LOCAL EVENTS

BUSINESS FEATURE
The Port Douglas Yacht Club is back in full swing, with a jam-packed calendar, and it’s about to get loud.
On Sunday, July 27, get ready to rock as Melbourne’s gritty ACDC tribute band RIFF RAFF brings their high-voltage show to the Yacht Club, paying tribute to the legendary Bon Scott era.
Kicking off at 3.00pm, the four-hour afternoon set promises nothing but raw, unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll, the kind that made ACDC a global phenomenon.
RIFF RAFF’s raw, high-energy sound takes fans back to 1976, channeling Bon Scott at his best.
The band features some of Melbourne’s top musicians, including Willie J of 6v6s on vocals, Callum Leavey on drums, Seb Robertson on bass, Sarsha Marsden (Hot Machine) on guitar, and Jeff Barrett on lead.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2023, RIFF RAFF has packed out venues across the country, earning a loyal fanbase with their loud, dirty, and electrifying tribute to one of rock’s greatest frontmen.
Their 2025 tour sees them hit stages across Far North Queensland and Tasmania, and Port Douglas is on the list.

Botanik House events
Alongside big gigs like RIFF RAFF, the club recently hosted its first Botanik House session on Monday 7 July, a DJ set featuring Deep, Organic, Afro, and Chill House vibes, aimed at hospitality workers on their night off.
The event is led by Vincenzo Toziano, an Italian-born percussionist known for his energetic style and captivating live performances.
Now a familiar face in the local music scene, he regularly plays at clubs, resorts, and festivals across the region.
More Botanik House events are expected to follow, keep an eye on the Yachty’s Facebook Page.
