Get ready for some revved-up fun at this year’s Mossman Show as the Tractor Pull event makes a roaring return on Sunday 20 July 2025.

Hosted by the NQ Tractor Pull Club, the event, in its second year, will feature up to 30 tractors going head-to-head in a battle of horsepower and grit.

Whether it’s a lovingly restored classic or a dusty beast fresh out of the shed, these tractors will be giving it their all.

“It’s a real crowd-pleaser,” said Craig Stone from the FNQ Tractor Pull Club. “We’ve had great feedback since we introduced it to the Show last year. The community is really excited to see it back.”

In case you're wondering what a Tractor Pull is: a tractor hauls a weighted sled along a 100-metre dirt track.

The further it goes, the heavier the load becomes, and only the strongest will make a “full pull” all the way. Tractors compete in horsepower categories ranging from 20hp to over 100hp.

Entrants must be Club members (membership includes liability insurance), and the event is open to tractors over 30 years old, 2WD, and largely unmodified.

Last year’s event drew competitors from Mossman, Babinda, and the Atherton Tablelands, and this year, they’re expecting even more action.

Think you’ve got a tractor that can go the distance? Join the fun and check out the FNQ Tractor Pull Club’s Facebook page for more info.
