“Santa is here!” shouted excited children as he landed by helicopter at Mossman’s annual Christmas Extravaganza last Friday, bringing smiles to families at the Showgrounds.

The community event featured face painting, local performances, a dance competition, food stalls, and people in festive costumes. 

Children could write and post letters to Santa, and a photographer was on hand to capture family photos with him.

The evening wrapped up with Carols by Candlelight and a spectacular fireworks display.
