PORT Douglas once again turned it on for Melbourne Cup day with the town buzzing with festivities yesterday.
The race that stops a nation was celebrated in style at a number of venues across town, and Newsport photographer Tim Corin was there to capture all the action.
The Kerrin McEvoy ridden Alamandin gave owner Lloyd Williams his fifth Melbourne Cup triumph, beating home Heartbreak City in a thrilling finish.
The Godolphin favourite Hartnell was third.
